Buyer guide / Recurring financial operations

How should we control recurring balance sweeps and accruals?

Define the accounts, balance cutoff, amount policy and schedule for each recurring operation. Assign the operating owner and the evidence needed before a missed or uncertain occurrence is run again. Connect any bank transfer to its separate instruction and confirmation process.

A schedule needs an operating policy

For a balance sweep, agree which balance is eligible and which threshold or retained amount applies. For an accrual, agree the period and accounting treatment. In both cases, decide what happens when input is late or execution is interrupted. That gives the operator a controlled choice between proceeding, pausing and investigating.

The Ledger Rocket approach

Ledger Rocket supports configured recurring accounting programmes using selected accounts, schedules and posting templates. Use the recurring operation’s balance basis and treatment to define its accounting effect. Where the process also moves money through a bank, the payment integration supplies the external outcome for reconciliation.

Work through these cases

  • Demonstrate the selected balance instant and the expected amount for one occurrence.
  • Test a missed occurrence and an uncertain result before attempting recovery.
  • Demonstrate the stop control and required approval for a manual run in the agreed setup.

Discuss your flow

Bring one recurring sweep or accrual with its amount policy and schedule. Walk through the ordinary occurrence and an interruption with the team that will operate it.
